1. What's in my candle?

We intentionally use only 100% natural soy wax - a safe and non-toxic product, adding in exclusively pure essential oils - no fragrances or harsh chemicals, and an FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified wood wick, that's it! We pride ourselves in providing the purest and cleanest candle for your enjoyment.

2. My candle appears wet on the top, or looks like it has melted.

This is called "sweating". Soy wax melts at a much lower temperature than paraffin wax, which is used in most regular candles. At 85 - 90 degrees, soy wax will begin to sweat and run onto the sides of the glass, however, the sweat will dry when the candle is returned to a cool temperature.

3. What comes in my order?

At Light of Mine (LOM) all of our experiences are shipped in earth-friendly shipping boxes, complete with a custom design. Each individual candle comes with an inspirational message, a thank you card and a complimentary set of matches. We consider each experience a true gift from our heart to yours!

4. How can I purchase more matchboxes?

A complimentary matchbox is included with each purchase. For the purchase of additional matchboxes, please email orders@lightofmine.com and we would be happy to process your request. Matchboxes retail for $2.00 USD.

5. Can I customize a gift set of La Familia?

Absolutely! During your checkout process please indicate any special notes and we would be more than happy to accommodate your order.

6. Will I pay sales tax?

Orders shipping to addresses in Florida are subject to state sales tax.

7. Does shipping time include weekends?

Most orders process within 24-48 hours of the order being placed and ship the following business day. For customers who select USPS Priority shipping, all product will ship Monday - Thursday. For customers who select UPS or FEDEX, orders will ship Monday - Wednesday during the warm season.

8. Can I make changes to my order?

Orders are processed when received. To make a change, please email orders@lightofmine.com as soon as possible and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.

9. Can my glass container be recycled?

We encourage the upcycling of your glass container, as it carries the intention to be reused and recycled after each use. Once you have enjoyed burning your candle and about 1/4" of wax remains, discontinue use, carefully pour the remaining wax out and wipe clean. For more detailed instructions and ideas on how to reuse your container, please visit our upcycle page.

10. How can I track my order?

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email confirmation with tracking details. If for some reason you did not receive this information, please let us know at orders@lightofmine.com and we would be more than happy to send it over.

11. Are your candles vegan? Do you test on animals?

Our candles, made with - 100% natural soy wax, pure essential oils, and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified wood wicks are Certified Vegan. In addition to this, we are happy to report that neither we nor our suppliers engage in any animal testing.
