Hola Beautiful and Bright Beings of Light!
Welcome to another illuminated installment, from my heart to yours. I truly hope that your holiday season was warm and radiant, and that you are prepared for a year full of opportunities, growth and love. This week’s blog is inspired by our passion-filled Pura Vida, which translates to the “Pure Life”. It is a candle and sentiment that speaks so deeply to my spirit!
As this year kicks off to a radiant and hopeful start, we prepare for a new and unknown chapter. Each new day there is a story to be written, and it can be easy to fall prey to lingering thoughts of judgement, scarcity and doubt about our lives? What will come next and how will things turn out? I find myself reflecting on a scripture which tells us, “Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?” (MT 6:25 - 28). It is important to remember that our lives are so much more than material things, external “successes” and circumstances. The nature of who we are is immaculate and Divine! In fact, we are always supported and taken care of, if only we open our eyes and heart to it. Life is breathing us, each day! It is truly a miracle! And the more we become present to this miracle - our lives - the more expansive our view, and our heart becomes.
The Sufi poet Rumi writes, “Oh soul, you worry too much. You have seen your own strength. You have seen your own beauty. You have seen your golden wings. Of anything less, why do you worry? You are in truth the soul, of the soul, of the soul.” The essence of Pura Vida is about connecting to our Creator and His Creation (the world around us and one other). This connection is vital - it reminds us of who we truly are. God created the world, and each of us, with so much purpose and precision. There is a natural intelligence that allows the world to harmoniously and synchronistically evolve. This Divine intelligence turns the acorn to the oak tree, and allows every seed and bud to become a flower. The same goes for our own life. Our life will unfold with ease and grace, should we so let it, guided by faith.
When we connect to the majesty that is all around us and within us, available at any moment, our entire attitude and perspective shifts. Looking up at the stars, soaking in the sun, feeling the ocean waves at our feet, taking a deep breath of fresh air, we tap into the infinite abundance that is ever present in life itself. We have all that we need, so let us sink our feet into the earth and remember that life is an adventure! Enjoy the journey, every step of the way.
I wish you much inspiration, prosperity, happiness and health as you welcome 2018!
